Getting started

Connecting Amplifiers takes about two minutes and works on free and paid plans of every supported assistant.

The connector URL is the same everywhere:

https://mcp.getamplifiers.com

You will need an Amplifiers account. You can create one during the sign-in step below — there is no separate sign-up to do first.

Claude

Works with any free or paid Claude plan. Connect once from the web app or the desktop app, and the connector is then available across all Claude apps including mobile.

  1. Go to claude.ai or open Claude Desktop.
  2. Open Customize → Connectors, click "+" → "Add custom connector".
  3. Paste the connector URL https://mcp.getamplifiers.com. Name it Amplifiers. Leave the Client ID and Client Secret fields empty — Amplifiers uses dynamic client registration, so no credentials are needed. Click Add.
  4. Click "Connect". A browser tab opens where you sign in to (or create) your Amplifiers account. You're returned to Claude automatically.
  5. Ask Claude to "Set up Amplifiers". It will walk you through what's available. The connector is enabled in every chat by default.

ChatGPT

Works with any free or paid ChatGPT plan.

  1. Enable Developer Mode. Go to chatgpt.com, open Settings → Security and Login, scroll down, and turn on Developer mode.
  2. Add a new plugin. Go to Settings → Plugins → Browse Plugins (or straight to chatgpt.com/plugins) and tap + in the upper right.
  3. Fill in the form. Name it Amplifiers and paste https://mcp.getamplifiers.com into the Connection field. Submit.
  4. Click "Sign in with Amplifiers" in the popup. Create a free account or sign in to an existing one. You're returned to ChatGPT automatically.
  5. Ask ChatGPT to "Set up Amplifiers".

Meta Muse

Muse connects to Amplifiers as a custom MCP integration.

  1. Open Muse's connector settings and choose to add a custom integration or connector.
  2. Enter the connector URL https://mcp.getamplifiers.com. Name it Amplifiers. No client ID or secret is required.
  3. Complete the sign-in when prompted. This runs the standard OAuth flow at auth.aiblewmymind.com and creates or links your Amplifiers account.
  4. Approve the permissions Muse asks about. Amplifiers only ever acts when your assistant calls it — see Data and permissions.
  5. Ask Muse to "Set up Amplifiers".

Any other MCP client

Amplifiers is a standard remote MCP server. Point any MCP-capable client at:

  • Transport: Streamable HTTP
  • URL: https://mcp.getamplifiers.com
  • Auth: OAuth 2.1 with PKCE. Discovery is served at /.well-known/oauth-authorization-server; dynamic client registration is supported, so no pre-issued client ID or secret is needed.

Your first request

Once connected, just ask for what you want in plain language. Your assistant searches the catalogue and picks the right amplifier:

"Find me an amplifier for writing a LinkedIn post about a funding announcement."

"Get me the transcript of this YouTube video and summarise the three main arguments."

"Generate a product shot of a ceramic mug on a linen background."

You don't need to know any tool names. If you'd rather browse first, the full catalogue is at getamplifiers.com/catalog.

Troubleshooting

The connector doesn't appear in my assistant. Check the URL has no trailing slash and no /mcp path — it is exactly https://mcp.getamplifiers.com. In ChatGPT, confirm Developer mode is still on.

Sign-in opens but doesn't come back. Allow popups for your assistant's domain and try again. If you use a password manager that opens sign-in in a separate browser, complete it in the tab the assistant opened.

"Reconnect your Amplifiers connector". We shipped an update your connected client hasn't picked up. Remove the connector and add it again — takes under a minute, and nothing in your account is lost.
